NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 11, 1999--
DoubleClick DART continues to win new clients
in a move to standardize online ad serving
DoubleClick (Nasdaq: DCLK), the industry's leading global Internet advertising solutions company, has been selected by iVillage (Nasdaq: IVIL) as that company's ad serving solution for iVillage.com, the number one women's network online. DART (Dynamic Advertising Reporting and Targeting) will enable this major online property to dynamically target and manage ad inventory and generate detailed ad performance reports for advertisers.
DART, DoubleClick's proprietary, state-of-the-art ad targeting and reporting technology is used by all the sites in the DoubleClick Network as well as by sites that handle their own ad sales. This currently includes more than 7,400 sites worldwide.
"DART was originally created to serve as the technology backbone for the DoubleClick Network," says Christopher Saridakis, Vice President and General Manger of DART for DoubleClick. "This makes it a natural fit for the size and scale of iVillage.com: The Women's Network. It has been a seamless transition as they've changed their ad management to the DART platform."
"We are pleased and excited to be working with DoubleClick, which has consistently proven itself to be on the cutting edge of ad serving technology," says Sujay Jhaveri, iVillage VP of Strategic Development and Sales Operations. "We expect this to be the beginning of a long and mutually beneficial relationship."
DoubleClick DART, a technology leader in planning, executing, and reporting for online marketing campaigns, has gained the support of major Web sites. iVillage joins some of the world's leading Web sites already using DART, including The Wall Street Journal Interactive, eBay, The Globe, ZDNet, IDG.net, Excite Europe, Infoseek, Bloomberg, CBS Sportsline and Intuit.
Building on the product's success, DoubleClick is pledging its financial resources to continue to aggressively develop DART. Utilizing the industry's largest database of Internet users and companies, DoubleClick DART offers publishers a portfolio of targeting products and services, 24-hour customer support and comprehensive reporting.
By virtue of DoubleClick's broad global expansion and the rapid growth of Internet advertising Internationally, DART has substantially increased its functionality to meet the complex challenges of managing Internet advertising campaigns across multiple countries operating in different languages and using different currencies. International advertisers can now manage a global buy and achieve truly localized targeting in any major market worldwide.
