FT/S&P Actuaries World Index - Further re Anglo American Corp of SA Ltd -South Africa- / Anglo American PLC -UK-

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 21, 1999--
As previously stated on the press release dated May 20, 1999, following the completion of the restructuring of Anglo American Corporation of South Africa Limited, the company will be removed from the South African Index and the successor, Anglo American PLC, will be included in the UK index.
The inclusion price of Anglo American PLC will be the closing price of Anglo American Corporation of South Africa Limited (on Johannesburg Stock Exchange) converted into sterling using the WM/Reuters Exchange Rates at 4pm on 21 May 1999. The number of shares of Anglo American PLC to be included in the World Index will be 390 million (the number of shares may be adjusted depending upon the results of the company's stock or cash offer for Minorco Sa).
Both changes will be reflected in the World Index effective on 24 May 1999.
