Scient Founders Named as Finalists for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 1999--
Scient (Nasdaq:SCNT), The eBusiness Systems Innovator(TM), today announced that Eric Greenberg, chairman and founder, and Bob Howe, president and chief executive officer, are finalists for the Northern California 1999 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year(R) Award.
They have been nominated in the "Emerging Entrepreneur" category, which recognizes visionary leadership and true entrepreneurial spirit.

Ritz-Carlton San Francisco on June 25. Comedian Bob Sarlatte will be
the master of ceremonies and Apollo 13 leader Captain Jim Lovell will
deliver the keynote address.
