PolyMedica Announces New Top Management Team At Liberty Medical Supply Subsidiary; W. Keith Trowbridge Named President, Les Capella Appointed Sr. VP Business Development

PolyMedica Corporation (Nasdaq:PLMD) today announced expansion of the senior management team at the Company's Liberty Medical Supply, Inc. subsidiary, the leading direct-to-patient provider of diabetes testing supplies to seniors. Liberty Medical has the largest proprietary database of Medicare eligible diabetics in the US and contributes 75% of PolyMedica's sales.
W. Keith Trowbridge is the new President of Liberty Medical and was also elected Vice President of PolyMedica Corporation. Prior to joining PolyMedica, Mr. Trowbridge was President of U.S. Operations for Transworld Healthcare, Inc., a $300 million international company, where he presided over the success and profitability of three domestic operating units including MK Diabetes Support Services. Earlier, he was CEO of a national integrated network of physician owned pharmacies and held senior management posts at a number of healthcare companies. Mr. Trowbridge graduated from George Mason University in 1975 with a degree in Business Administration.
Les Capella was appointed Senior Vice President, Business Development/Marketing, a new senior management position. He joined Liberty from Transworld Healthcare where he was Executive Vice President for Sales of the three U.S. operating units which included MK Diabetes Support Services. Earlier, he was the founder and COO of Precision Healthcare, Inc. a medical device company that became an industry leader and was sold in 1995 to Transworld Healthcare. Mr. Capella graduated from St. Joseph's University in 1982 with a Masters Degree in Health Care Administration.
