KYSR-FM In Los Angeles Extends Its Afternoon Show, 'Ryan Seacrest for the Ride Home', Through 2001

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 16, 1999--
KYSR-FM, 'STAR 98.7', an AMFM Inc. (NYSE:AFM) station, today announced that radio personality, Ryan Seacrest, 24, host of the afternoon show 'Ryan Seacrest for the Ride Home', heard weekday afternoons from 2:00 p.m. through 6:00 p.m., has signed a two-year contract extension.
Mr. Seacrest, began his radio broadcasting career as an intern at the age of 16 for Atlanta's WSTR-FM. Impressed by his talent, Mr. Seacrest was offered an on-air shift from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. Mr. Seacrest's show soon became the station's most successful program, all while still juggling the demands of high school. Mr. Seacrest remained at WSTR through his freshman year of college, until he joined ESPN as the host of "Outdoor Challenge". Mr. Seacrest relocated to Los Angeles in 1995 and joined KYSR's afternoon drive-time slot creating 'Ryan Seacrest for the Ride Home' with Lisa Foxx. Mr. Seacrest's popularity continues to soar. His show is currently Arbitron's No. 1 ranked Los Angeles drive-time show women 25-34 and No. 4 among adults 25-54. His television credits include Merv Griffin's Click, USA Network and Sci-Fi Channel's The New Edge, Gladiator's 2000 for Samuel Goldwyn Television and Wild Games for the Family Channel. Additionally, E! Online named Mr. Seacrest one of Hollywood's 20 'young guns' under 30.
