Bar Harbor Bankshares Names New Chairman of the Board

BAR HARBOR, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 17, 1999--
John P. Reeves has been named Chairman of the Board of Bar Harbor Bankshares and its wholly-owned subsidiary Bar Harbor Banking and Trust Company.
Mr. Reeves served as President and CEO of Bar Harbor Banking and Trust Company from 1986-1994 and has remained a member of the Board of Directors since his retirement.
Mr. Reeves is active with the MDI YMCA as Treasurer of Trustees and Chairman of the Endowment Committee. Mr. Reeves serves as a College of the Atlantic Trustee. He Chairs their Audit Committee and is also a member of their Investment and Finance Committees.
Mr. Reeves holds degrees from Williams College and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
Mr. Reeves and his wife reside in Bar Harbor.
Bar Harbor Bankshares is a public company with shares traded on the AMEX under the symbol BHB.
