The award, announced in the magazine's November 15 cover story, honors 39 of the nation's leading executives (within 25 profiles) and "drew from the ranks of telecom leaders, venture capitalists, and cutting-edge solutions integrators, as well as from among the top executives of leading high-tech companies."

Howe's experience spans over 30 years in information technology, consulting and services. He has launched several successful businesses, including the IBM (NYSE:IBM) Consulting Group and Integrion, an electronic banking consortium. In addition, he managed IBM's multi-billion dollar global banking, finance and securities business, and was a member of IBM's worldwide management council. Prior to joining IBM, Howe led a distinguished career at Booz-Allen & Hamilton for 15 years.
