New Club Acclaim Label Kicks Off With the Mary-Kate and Ashley Series

Acclaim Entertainment, a leading worldwide interactive entertainment company, and Mary-Kate and Ashley's Dualstar Interactive, today announced that Mary-Kate and Ashley's Dance Party of the Century is now available in national retail outlets. The game is the company's first title to bear the new Club Acclaim brand and is the product of an exclusive interactive deal between Acclaim Entertainment and Dualstar Interactive, a division of Mary-Kate and Ashley's Dualstar Entertainment Group.

Mary-Kate and Ashley's Dance Party of the Century features six activity areas to choose from, including Dance Class mode where Mary-Kate and Ashley teach the hottest dance crazes of the past and present, from Mambo to Disco to Vogue. Other game modes also include Name That Dance, Dress-Up To Dance, Name That Danceable Tune, and Scrambled Eras and the Let's Have a Dance Party mode allows gamers to design invitations, plan a menus, and create a scrapbook of their own dance party.

Acclaim announced their venture into the girls software market in September after identifying an opportunity in this emerging marketplace. Mary-Kate and Ashley's Dance Party of the Century is the first title that Acclaim has developed specifically for the "girl gamer." The next title from the new software line-up, which includes PC, hand-held and console games, will be "The New Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley" for Game Boy Color and is supported by a multi-faceted marketing campaign including television, radio and print.
