Bear Island Paper Company, L.L.C. Makes Announcement

GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 17, 1999--
Bear Island Paper Company, L.L.C., and Bear Island Timberlands Company, L.L.C., both wholly owned subsidiaries of Brant-Allen Industries, Inc., today announced that they have completed the sale of approximately 46,000 acres of timberlands in Virginia to Virginia Forest Investments, L.L.C. Proceeds from the sale, net of applicable taxes, will be used to reduce the outstanding bank debt of Bear Island Paper Company, L.L.C.
