The Chronicle Publishing Company to Sell MBI Publishing Company

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 17, 1999--
The Chronicle Publishing Company announced today that it has agreed to sell MBI Publishing Company to Flagship Partners, Inc., a private investment firm in New York City.
Located in Osceola, Wis., MBI Publishing Company is the world's largest publisher and distributor of transportation books (trains, tractors, automobiles, motorcycles, airplanes, boats, military equipment, etc.)
MBI Publishing Company was purchased by Chronicle Publishing in 1988.
