Marc Andreessen Joins CacheFlow Board of Directors; Netscape Co-Founder Makes Equity Investment in Internet Caching Appliance Company

CacheFlow Inc., a leading provider of Internet caching appliances, announced today that Internet pioneer Marc Andreessen has joined its Board of Directors and taken an equity stake in the company.

Marc Andreessen co-developed the first widely-used Web browser, Mosaic, and co-founded Netscape Communications in 1994. He served as Chief Technology Officer and later Executive Vice President of Products and Marketing for Netscape until 1999, when the company was purchased by America Online. Andreessen continued in the role of CTO for AOL until September of 1999. Today, Andreessen is co-founder and chairman of Loudcloud Inc. and invests in and advises Internet-related technology companies.
