Coram has been servicing patients with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders for more than 15 years. The Company has created several new management positions to head Coram Hemophilia Services. Among those appointed are: Eric Hill, vice president, hemophilia services; David Madeiros, director, program development; Larry Madeiros, director, patient advocacy; Jim Lane, director of sales; and Joanne Boyer, director of operations.
"It is Coram's clinical specialty programs that have enabled us to differentiate ourselves and demonstrate to customers and patients our ability to provide quality care focused on specific disease states. The introduction of Coram Hemophilia Services was designed to place greater emphasis on hemophilia patients and cater to their specific needs and lifestyles. We identified an opportunity in the marketplace and saw a need to service these patients with dedicated, quality care and services. Moreover, we determined that these patients could also benefit from certain lifestyle services that would empower them to lead independent and active lifestyles. Our ability to continue this focus and extend our expertise into the hemophilia area will provide payers and patients alike with enhanced products, services and care," said Joseph Smith, Coram's chief operating officer.
"We have assembled an experienced management team to head our new hemophilia division. The new senior management team brings over 130 years of combined, first-hand hemophilia disease management knowledge and expertise to Coram's new division. In addition, the Madeiros brothers, who have hemophilia, are devoted to creating a hemophilia services division for Coram that fosters individually oriented client services and quality care. We look forward to the contributions they will make to this division and to our organization," concluded Smith.
