Trinity Industries Introduces New Rail Product
Business Wire, Nov 9, 1999
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 9, 1999--
Trinity Industries Inc. (NYSE:TRN), through its rail parts subsidiary, McConway & Torley Group, today unveiled a new seamless reinforced flooring design for the railcar market.
This innovative new design is the only patented seamless flooring system in the rail industry and complements Trinity's new family of boxcar designs.
Seamless flooring was specifically developed by McConway & Torley Group to meet the needs of the paper and automotive industry shippers. The smooth surface significantly reduces damage to the commodity and loading equipment, and eliminates potential weather exposure. The flooring system is manufactured using M&T Group's new state of the art robotic welding equipment.
"New products and leading edge innovations are key parts of McConway & Torley's growth strategy," said John Nussrallah, group president Railcar. "Plate flooring will provide customers with another alternative in the boxcar market."
Trinity Industries Inc., with headquarters in Dallas, is one of the nation's leading diversified industrial growth companies. Trinity operates through six principal business segments: a Railcar Group, an Inland Barge Group, a Parts and Services Group, a Highway Construction Products Group, a Concrete and Aggregate Group, and an Industrial Group.
