Pine Technology Shows the Future of MP3 at COMDEX; World's Smallest MP3 Player Unveiled at Sands, Booth S2658, COMDEX Fall, Las Vegas, November 15-19, 1999
Business Wire, Nov 9, 1999
FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 9, 1999--
Pine Technology USA (www.pineusa.com), will reveal the future of MP3 technology at its booth during COMDEX Fall.
Pine will unveil one of the smallest MP3 players in the world, "D'music Mini." It measures approximately 2.2 x 2 x 0.8 inches, and weighs about 1.75 ounces. It is meant to be worn around the neck, much like a fashion accessory. D'music Mini will cost $139 and will be available for sale in the first quarter of 2000.
Pine will also demonstrate its MP3 CD-player, "D'music CD." It plays back ordinary audio CDs and can hold over 200 MP3 tracks on one CD. This is also the first MP3 hardware device which does not require a computer or Internet connection, as MP3 CDs are already available from mainstream retail outlets. Samples of D'music CD will be available in December and will cost $299. Back orders can be placed at outpost.com.
Also on show in all its different colors will be "D'music 64," which comes Bubblegum Pink, Ice Blue and Lime Green, as well as black and silver. D'music 64 retails at $249 and is available immediately from outpost.com.
"MP3 products are going to be one of the hottest aspects of this Fall's COMDEX," said Brian Hamilton, vice president of sales and marketing for Pine Technology USA. "Pine's products are leading the field in innovation, quality and simply sex-appeal. These are items that people will want to be seen using and wearing."
Pine will be exhibiting in the Sands hall at booth S2658. For further product and sales information, please contact Conny Chan or Brian Hamilton at Pine Technology USA at 510/405-6700, email sales@pineusa.com, or visit www.pineusa.com.
