Alchemedia Forms Core Executive Team; Former Microsoft, Disney, Oracle, Apple Executives Bring Marketing, Technology and Business Development Expertise

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 20, 1999--
Alchemedia, formerly known as cSafe, today announced the formation of its core executive team. With experience drawn from companies such as Microsoft, Disney, Oracle and Apple, as well as expertise in marketing, technology, consulting, customer service and business development, the team will support the company's relocation to San Francisco's multimedia gulch and its continuing expansion into both domestic and international markets.

Alchemedia's core executive team comprises: -0-
-- Steve Miller, COO and president: A former vice president of
marketing and business development for Oracle Corporation, Miller
brings more than 20 years of global business experience to lead
Alchemedia. In addition to Oracle, Miller also worked as vice
president of sales and marketing for digital imaging start-up
LightSource Inc., and spent six years as an executive at Apple
Computer.
-- Fred Bullock, senior vice president, marketing: A former vice
president of marketing at Apple Computer, Bullocks' 20 years of
global experience includes building new markets in Europe, Japan,
India, Australia and North and South America. Prior to joining
Apple Computer, Bullock was director of sales and marketing for
Personal Computers Limited, the UK's largest reseller of PC
products.
-- Paul Roberge, senior vice president, sales: A former vice
president of strategic sales and international operations for
Adaptive Media, Inc., Roberge brings more than 17 years of sales
and marketing management experience to Alchemedia. Prior to
Adaptive, Roberge held senior sales management positions at
Virage, Inc. and Micrografx, Inc.
-- Paul Kepic, vice president, customer service: A former senior
global IT director of Oracle's Customer Education line of
business, Kepic was responsible for the technology and support
infrastructure used to deliver training on the entire Oracle
product line throughout 58 countries worldwide.
-- Whitney Allen, senior director, business development: A former
director of online services for the Walt Disney Company, Allen
produced more than 150 individual Web sites for Disney and
created an online division for the company's feature film
marketing. Allen has also worked at NBC Studios and E!
Entertainment Television.
-- Ric Kasnoff, senior director, business development: As a former
producer at Microsoft, Kasnoff was responsible for transforming
Encarta Online Encyclopedia from a 12-page billboard to a 40,000
article Web site. In his 15 years as an entertainment industry
photographer, Kasnoff has won over 100 industry awards.
-- Dr. Marc Berger, chief technology advisor: A former chief
scientist at Live Picture Inc., Berger brings a wealth of
technology and marketing experience to Alchemedia. Prior to Live
Picture, Berger was chief scientist at OLiVR Corporation, an
Israeli software firm. He has also served on the faculty of
Carnegie Mellon University and the Georgia Institute of
Technology.
