This agreement, the first of its kind between the two companies, enables Deloitte Consulting to incorporate IBM technology into the business solutions recommended to its clients.

The firm will offer a variety of IBM servers, including Netfinity(R), RS/6000(R), AS/400(R) and S/390(R), as well as virtually all IBM and Tivoli software, including e-Business products such as WebSphere(TM) and IBM Net.Commerce, IBM DB2(R) Universal Database, SecureWay(R), Visual Warehouse(TM) and Tivoli's family of system management products.

Primary market segments include financial services, energy, telecommunications, state and local government, healthcare, consumer business and manufacturing.

"Our clients are large, complex organizations with a vast range of needs that must be met quickly and efficiently, and IBM's technologies enhance our ability to offer flexible solutions to meet their particular business needs," said John Gibbons, global director, Information Technology Services, Deloitte Consulting.

"This agreement complements our emphasis on providing quality solutions to our clients, because we can now deliver a full range of IBM Web-enabling technology and data management software, in addition to the benefits of our consulting and industry expertise."

"IBM's industry-leading products will provide Deloitte Consulting clients the power and flexibility they demand for enabling many technologies, such as e-Business, regardless of their industry or specific requirements," said Buell Duncan, IBM's general manager for Global Business Partners.
