Forrester Research PowerRanks DVD Express No. 1 for Delivery in Books, Music and Video Category
Business Wire, Oct 29, 1999
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 1999--
Top-Rated for Customer Service, Prices,
Usability, Transactions, Features and Content
DVD EXPRESS (www.dvdexpress.com), the leading online video retailer and authority on digital versatile discs (DVD), was recently ranked No. 1 for delivery in the Books, Music and Video category according to a survey conducted by Forrester Research PowerRankings.
Rounding out the top eight ranked for delivery in the category and behind DVD EXPRESS were Amazon.com, CDNow, Reel.com, barnesandnoble.com, Big Star, Best Buy and Borders.com. The rankings are a result of a 400,000 person online survey and unbiased expert analysis.
The delivery ranking assesses the retailer's product delivery competence, shipping options and return processes. In addition, a Forrester shopper tested specific delivery features such as package-tracking capability, confirmation of shipment by e-mail, timeliness of delivery and the ease and cost of returns.
"Low prices are only one reason a shopper will return to an online retailer; if the consumer receives poor customer service and is dissatisfied with the timing of the delivery, there are hundreds of other online retailers eager to do business," said Michael Dubelko, president and chief executive officer. "A significant role in our customer service is our strategic partnership with FedEx which allows us to ship orders the same day we receive them and keep our promise of promptness and reliability to our customers."
In addition to its No. 1 status in delivery, the Forrester PowerRankings shopper also praised DVD EXPRESS for its low prices, easy returns and simple navigation around the site.
