Crown Andersen Inc. Unit Receives Shipboard Incinerator Contract From Navy

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 1999--

Crown Andersen Inc. (NASDAQ: CRAN), the Peachtree City, Georgia-based supplier of engineered products and systems for environmental control and waste processing, today announced that its Andersen 2000 Inc. subsidiary in Peachtree City, Ga. USA was awarded a contract from the United States Navy to design and build an advanced shipboard incinerator to process solid wastes on several classes of navy ships.

The contract, valued at about $417,000, calls for Andersen to furnish a test unit to the Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, for test and evaluation, and includes an option for the navy to purchase a second unit to be installed on a navy ship for final evaluation before proceeding with procurement of solid waste incinerators for large navy ships. The second unit option is valued at $378,000. The project will be completed in 2000.
