Stonebridge Extends ERP System At BP Amoco; Oilfield Giant Sharpens Complex Decisions With New XERP Solution

Business Wire, Oct 5, 1999

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 1999--

Stonebridge Technologies Inc., a leading e-business solutions consulting firm, Tuesday announced completion of an engagement with BP Amoco -- one of the world's largest oil and gas companies -- to extend its Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) system.

The Stonebridge enhancement extracts critical oilfield information from the existing SAP-based ERP system, combines it with complex data from legacy exploration and production (E&P) systems and delivers results to decision makers throughout BP Amoco's vast E&P organization. Stonebridge extended the existing ERP solution -- a complex assignment -- in only 90 days from planning to full deployment.

Stonebridge solutions enable companies to optimize value from information assets and enterprise systems while leveraging intellectual capital -- the knowledge and experience of a company's employees. A full-service consultancy, Stonebridge also helps companies form more profitable ties with customers and suppliers, operate more efficiently and use leading technology to gain competitive advantage.

"We are pleased BP Amoco selected Stonebridge to enhance critical E&P decision making by leveraging the business potential of the company's existing SAP investment," said Jim Sherriff, Stonebridge's chief executive officer. "Our experience in extending ERP systems clearly contributed to the rapid deployment BP Amoco required."
