TREEV Releases First Service Pack For TREEV 2000TM Product Suite; Service Pack Delivers Improved Performance and Additional Support for Users

TREEV, Inc., (NASDAQ/NMS:TREV), a leader in delivering integrated enterprise document management solutions, announced today the release of the TREEV 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1), a comprehensive package of software enhancements and upgrades, documentation, and support designed to improve system performance and lower the cost of ownership for TREEV 2000 customers.

Included in the release of the Service Pack are software enhancements and upgrades to the TREEV 2000 Product Suite. With the release of these upgrades, all products in the TREEV 2000 Suite are now compatible with Microsoft Visual Studio 6. Visual Studio 6 provides users with the comprehensive resources necessary for Windows 2000 development, including new versions of Microsoft's Visual Tools and database programming and design tools based on Microsoft's Universal Data Access technology. All products in the TREEV 2000 suite are now also compatible with Microsoft Windows NT SP4, enabling users to take advantage of enhancements to management, security, data availability and support utilities, and prepare for Year 2000 and Euro currency changes now included in NT SP4.

The Service Pack also includes upgrades for specific products. These include:

AutoTREEV(TM)

AutoTREEV now supports the following databases: Oracle 8; Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 and 7.0; and Informix 7. Support of these databases allows TREEV's customers to choose the database management system that best fits their application and scalability needs.

DataTREEV(TM)

Using the Administration Directory Management window, users can download reports that have been recorded in binary format. This feature helps users to archive and manage COLD Server log files. This method prevents accumulated log files in the log directory, and it requires significantly less cache or optical storage space than recording text format log files.

OmniTREEV(TM)

A new feature, volume compaction, frees up storage space by creating a new volume where only the newest revision of objects is stored. OmniTREEV now allows multiple revisions to be stored in cache thus improving user productivity and system performance. The Batch Services feature of OmniTREEV now supports Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 and 7, Oracle 8 and dBASE IV. Users can select the batch database of their choice. OmniTREEV Scan support for Kofak Image Controls, version 3.0 has been added.

In addition to the software upgrade, the release of TREEV 2000 SP1 also includes updates and improvements to the documentation for the TREEV 2000 suite of products. All TREEV 2000 Manuals and Help Files are now available online, so users can access the information while using the TREEV product. Service Pack 1 also includes new manuals and help files that guide the user through installation and administration.
