Business Wire, Sept 24, 1999
ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 24, 1999--
Global Technology Associates, Inc., a worldwide leader in cost-effective network security solutions, today announced the appointment of Nick Squire as Manager of European Channel Sales. The appointment takes place as the company introduces it's GB-100 Internet firewall appliance and focuses on new opportunities in high-growth Internet security-related markets in Europe. "GTA is very excited to have someone of Nick's proven ability and outstanding reputation to help us achieve our business goals in Europe," said GTA's president Paul Emerson.
Mr. Squire has years of experience in the networking industry supplying network management, productivity and security solutions. He has worked with a broad spectrum of organizations in Europe, including systems integration companies, government and local authorities.
Mr. Squire said, "The European marketplace for Internet security is set to explode into the new millennium. Companies who have been dependent on high cost, over technical security solutions will struggle to keep pace with the ever growing need to supply affordable, simple and yet secure solutions to the real growth areas of the new Internet generation." He went on to say, "The market sector is becoming wise to the fact that there need not be a compromise on security or the flexibility of a product because it is lower priced or simple to install."
Mr. Squire will be looking to explore new relationships in the European marketplace as well as the expanding existing GTA relationships. The European channel sales unit will operate from a base in the United Kingdom where support staff will be available to quickly address any technical issues from European channel partners.
Mr. Squire can be contacted at: Global Technology Associates, Inc. Portland Square, Portland Road Worthing BN11 1QH England Tel: 44 (0) 1903 20 51 51 Fax: 44 (0) 1903 20 51 61 Email: squire@emea.gta.com
