ORANGE COUNTY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 24, 1999--
Lawrence P. Burbidge, president and chief executive officer of 649.com Inc. (OTC BB:LAWW) Friday announced the appointment of Brandon L. Moase as vice president of operations.
Moase has a solid background in the gaming and lottery industry bringing with him in-depth marketing and technology management skills.
649.com is the future site of a $5 million top prize in an instantaneous Internet lottery game.
The 649.com Web site is virtually complete with gaming software currently being Beta tested by the team at Mindquake Software Inc. Mindquake Software was contracted to design and test the proprietary lottery software. Once this process is complete, a public Beta test will follow. The timing for the latter is expected mid October 1999. Beta testing is crucial in detecting and eliminating any programming "bugs" before a software product launch. This process will build confidence in both the shareholders and the consumers. Test results will be reported in a future news release.
Software development operations are located in Vancouver, British Columbia. The company's gaming Web site and management facility are located in San Jose, Costa Rica. Costa Rica provides an excellent telecommunications network making it an ideal location for an Internet venture.
This news release contains forward-looking statements with respect to the results of operations and business which could be materially different from those discussed. Risks and uncertainties of the company will be detailed from time to time in the company's periodic reports.
