ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 1999--
LANSource Leverages Natural MicroSystems Industry Leading
Scalability and Density of up to 120 Ports on a Single Board
LANSource Technologies Inc. (Toronto, Canada) announced today at Voice-on-the-Net a partnership with Natural MicroSystems (Nasdaq:NMSS) to support their high-density intelligent fax devices.
LANSource's FAXport and Virtual Fax Networking (VFN) products can now be installed with Natural MicroSystems' NaturalFax 2000 and 4000 hardware.
FAXport satisfies the differing needs of the service providers, the enterprise and the workgroup. Service providers require carrier-grade reliability and scalability. The enterprise requires centralized control over usage, costs, and security as well as the ability to create their own network of fax servers in order to maximize their network infrastructure. The workgroup needs local administration, ease-of-use and high functionality. VFN together with the suite of FAXport versions meet all of these needs and adds a level of integration that is unmatched in the industry.
"We're very excited about our partnership with Natural MicroSystems as this means that our resellers and ISPs deploying LANSource's LAN fax and Fax over IP solutions will have an expanded selection of intelligent fax devices to choose from, " said Yves Ohayon, director of LANSource's internet business unit. "Thanks to the high and low density versions of the Natural MicroSystems products available, our combined solutions can appeal to users at all levels."
VFN and FAXport's powerful, easy-to-use products offer a rich set of features for Windows NT, Exchange and Lotus Notes and all at extremely competitive pricing. True VFN provides the fax user with enhanced-fax services including fax-to-email and email-to-fax supported with the proprietary "Fax To:" button that is integrated into Exchange/Outlook and Lotus Notes.
Natural MicroSystems' delivers new standards for scalability and density of up to 120 ports on a single board. These platforms offer developers the lowest cost per port PCI platforms for deployment of fax-over-IP (store and forward) and high volume fax servers. Both NaturalFax platforms, AG2000 and AG4000, offer comprehensive fax capabilities including automatic detection of fax calls, on-the-fly image conversion and bi-directional fax in a single call, and are accessible under the Natural MicroSystems CT Access(TM) development environment.
"We're providing fax developers with industry-leading scalability and cost advantages with the NaturalFax family of PCI products," said Anne Simoneau, product-marketing manager, Natural MicroSystems. "With LANSource on board, service providers, enterprise and small businesses will be able to simply and cost-effectively bring enhanced fax services and LAN fax solutions to their respective subscribers and end users."
