Business Wire, Sept 27, 1999
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 1999--
Full Service Provider of E-business Solutions Named to the Fast 50
for Third Consecutive Year
Breakaway Solutions Inc, a leading Full Service Provider (FSP) of e-business solutions that offers a portfolio of strategy, Internet and eCRM solutions and application hosting services to growing enterprises, today announced it has been recognized as part of the elite "New England Technology Fast 50" for 1999, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area. Rankings are based on five-year revenue growth (1994-1998). The program is co-sponsored by the professional services firms of Deloitte & Touche and Hale and Dorr LLP, in association with Mass High Tech.
Breakaway Solutions CEO Gordon Brooks is excited about the opportunity for continued revenue growth within the consulting and solutions integration industries. "We identified the need among the growing enterprise to have access to high-end application hosting, outsourcing, systems integration and IT consulting services," said Brooks. "With our FSP model we can provide the growing enterprise with all of these services and help them get to market first."
This is Breakaway Solutions' third year on the "New England Technology Fast 50." The company was recognized in the previous two years under its former name, The Counsel Group. WPL Laboratories, a Philadelphia-based Internet solutions firm that was purchased by Breakaway in June, made the Philadelphia region Fast 50.
To qualify for the Fast 50 companies must have revenues of at least $50,000 in 1994; may be public or private; and must be headquartered in the region. All nominees of the 19 regional Fast 50 programs in the United States are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks the nation's top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
