FT/S&P Actuaries World Index - Deletion of Frontier Corporation -USA- and Addition of Global Crossing Limited -USA-

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 29, 1999--

The FT/S&P Actuaries World Indices Policy Committee announces that, following the completion of its acquisition by Global Crossing Limited (non-constituent), Frontier Corporation will be removed from the World Index. Global Crossing Limited will replace Frontier Corporation in the World Index in accordance with FTSE Ground Rule 4.3.1. The changes will be effective from 30 September 1999 with an investibility weighting of 100% for Global Crossing Limited (based on 768,234,800 shares).
