Cisco's Professional Services Groups to Use Jyra Performance Monitoring Solutions

Business Wire, Sept 7, 1999

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 7, 1999--

Jyra Research, Inc (OTC BB: JYRA) announces that it has concluded an agreement with Cisco Systems (NASDAQ: CSCO) to allow the use of Jyra's performance monitoring solutions by Cisco's Professional Services Groups.

Jyra will provide Cisco Professional Service with software licenses for use by Professional Services (PS), Network Supported Accounts (NSA) and Critical Account Program (CAP) network consulting engineers. Jyra is to be used within key European Cisco accounts to allow Cisco's Professional Services groups to give customers a valuable service and resource view of their IT networks.

Cisco's Professional Services, NSA and CAP network engineers provide customers with access to the full range of Cisco support throughout the network life cycle, from planning through to operation. Jyra compliments Cisco's PS, NSA and CAP groups by providing the performance monitoring solution that will be used to report network performance issues in a way that businesses can understand.

Jyra's performance orientated networking solutions provide a valuable compliment to Cisco's end-to-end networking systems and services. By monitoring performance Jyra can greatly reduce the incidence of network and application delays that effect service to users.

Richard Buchanan, Cisco Professional Services CENS (Cisco Enabled Network Solutions) Technical Product Manager, commented "...enterprise networking is about more than connectivity. Network stability and overall network performance are becoming decisive competitive metrics which are visible to customers as they interact with an Enterprise's business process and create a critical first impression. Since increased network performance and stability lead to reductions in production costs and increases profits, it is critical that a network monitoring and base-lining tool can easily identify and report on network device and or service congestion points. Jyra's software provides Cisco Consultants with an easy to use tool which can be used in both the network troubleshooting and SLA base-lining roles. It was also for these reasons that Jyra was selected for use in the CENS partner program."
