Tadiran Scopus, a leading developer and manufacturer of MPEG-2 DVB products, announces the release of two NEW products in their CODICO(R) product line to be launched at NAB'2000 the E-1500 DSNG Encoder and IRD-2600. The 3rd generation of the CODICO(R) product line is also being introduced with its new look and design.
The CODICO(R) E-1500 DSNG Encoder housed in a newly designed 2 rack unit enclosure, is a user friendly and easy to install encoder that was developed especially to meet the DSNG operator's stringent requirements for mobile applications. The E-1500 can be installed both in vehicles, flyaway helicopter and other mobile or fixed locations. The E-1500 is based on the CODICO(R) E-1X00 Encoder series in combination with the CODICO(R) MOD/S - 7500 modulator. The E-1500 is compatible with the new EBU DSNG-CA (BISS / Basic Interoperable Scrambling System). The E-1500 offers fast access keys for Modulation, Carrier on/off and convenient pre-programmed set-ups.
The CODICO(R) IRD-2600, Tadiran Scopus' 3rd generation of IRD, offers enhanced receiving and decoding capabilities for head-ends sites and other receiving locations. The new IRD-2600 series is based on a new advanced chip-set and includes Dolby AC-3 pass-through, simultaneous decoding and PID (Program ID) identification, an ATM DS-3 interface and advanced VBI processing. Riding the success of the best selling CODICO(R) IRD-2500 series, the IRD-2600 offers a modular structure and a variety of interfaces for various applications.
The Tadiran Scopus display at NAB'2000 also includes a MCPC end-to-end system solution, including statistical multiplexing systems for multiple channel transmission, and a demo of live news feeds and stored video files form a server using the data transfer capability used by CBS Newspath.
