services
Telemate.Net Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TMNT), a provider of Internet usage management and eBusiness intelligence solutions for the Internet, intranet and voice networks, today announced that Continental Airlines, the fifth largest airline in the U.S., is using Telemate.Net to manage its employees' Internet usage activities.
"Our divisional and departmental directors and managers wanted to ensure that our Internet Usage policies were being adhered to in order to measure the productivity and cost of Internet usage," said Andre Gold, Manager of Internet Engineering for Continental. "NetSpective(TM) from Telemate.Net allows us to efficiently report on usage trends over time. Unlike other products we tested, NetSpective is easy to use, stable and reliable, and it vastly improves our productivity."
Continental Airlines is using NetSpective to ensure compliance with its Internet Usage Policy. The policy states that employees may only use services approved and budgeted for by each individual division or department. By using NetSpective, Continental is able to allocate bandwidth for their 10,000-12,000 employees based on their Internet usage and allocate costs to individual departments and divisions.
"Telemate.Net is excited to work with a leading airline like Continental," said Jeff Miller, Telemate.Net Software's Executive Director of U.S. Sales. "Businesses need to know how their corporate resources are being used. We're pleased that Continental has recognized NetSpective as an effective way to deliver a complete solution for its network usage management needs."
