NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 11, 2000

GO.com (NYSE:GO) today announced that Rick Mandler has been named vice president of GO Local and Broadcasting. Starting today, Mandler will report to Dick Glover, executive vice president, Internet media at GO.com and ABC, Inc. Mandler will be responsible for developing and managing the Internet efforts of the ABC Broadcasting properties, including ABC owned television and radio stations across the country, ABC Radio Networks, and the localization of GO.com's Internet businesses.

Mr. Mandler will be spearheading the Internet efforts of the ABC owned stations, which are all leaders in their markets - occupying the number one or two spots in each and reaching approximately 99 percent of the population in their markets each week. In addition, Mr. Mandler will be working with ABC Radio Networks, the leading radio network in the country, to expand its personality-driven Web sites and develop a Web presence for its incredible line up of talent, lead by radio legend Paul Harvey. Mr. Mandler will drive the already highly successful streaming efforts of ABC Radio, including live 24-hour a day Web casts of 24 radio stations.

Mandler was promoted in June 1999 to his post as vice president, new media for ABC Broadcasting after serving as general manager, new media for ABC Radio Networks, where he had operational and strategic responsibility for the ABC Radio division's Internet efforts.

"Rick's experience with marrying the traditional businesses of ABC with the Internet business positions him perfectly for his new responsibilities with GO.com", said Dick Glover. "His commitment to and passion for the Internet has been a driving force in many of our Internet efforts and we look forward to him bringing that same enthusiasm to our local and broadcast initiatives."

"Rick has been instrumental in setting the strategic Internet initiatives for our local radio and television stations. I look forward to working closely with him and GO.com as we now implement those strategies," said Bob Callahan, president of Broadcasting, ABC, Inc.

Mr. Mandler joined Capital Cities/ABC, Inc. (now ABC, Inc.) in 1992 as a general attorney. He was named director of business affairs for ABC News in 1994, where he was responsible for negotiating talent and business agreements.

Prior to coming to ABC, Mr. Mandler was an associate at the New York law firm of Patterson, Belknap, Webb and Tyler from 1989 to 1992, and a law clerk for the Honorable Leonard I. Garth, United States Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, from 1987 to 1989. Mr. Mandler is a graduate of Wesleyan University and New York University Law School.
