NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 13, 2000
New Partnership Dramatically Increases the Number of Buyers
Reached by the Internet's Only Domain Name Exchange
Afternic.com, the world's first true single-source platform for domain name research, acquisition and resale, today announced a new partnership with AuctionWatch.com, the Internet's leading provider of services for on-line auctions and dynamic pricing.
As part of this new agreement, Afternic.com will have its data included in AuctionWatch.com's Universal Search product. Users of AuctionWatch.com can now be referred to pertinent domain name auctions at Afternic.com, along with their other search results. For example, visitors will not only be able to search for baseball memorabilia, equipment and ticket auctions, but also relevant domain name auctions at Afternic.com.
"With this partnership, Afternic.com is providing real added value to the domain name re-sellers who use our site," said Chris Maroney, Co-CEO of Afternic.com. "AuctionWatch.com receives over 1.7 million unique visitors every month; obviously, that's an awful lot of potential domain name buyers."
Jon Whelan, Afternic.com Co-CEO, agreed. "Our new agreement with AuctionWatch.com is extremely aggressive," he noted. "Their extraordinary market penetration is yet one more service Afternic.com now provides sellers of domain names in the secondary market."
"Through our partnership with Afternic.com, users of AuctionWatch.com will now have access to the most comprehensive list of Internet domain names available in the online auction market," added Rodrigo Sales, CEO of AuctionWatch.com.
