OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 2000

TotalAxcess.com, Inc. (OTC BB: TXCS) today announced that it signed a letter of intent with Forbes Telecom Nigeria Limited (FTNL) for traditional, prepaid and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) traffic to Nigeria and Columbia.

"Our alliance with FTNL dramatically lowers our costs for telecom traffic to Nigeria, Columbia and other countries," explained Joseph Monterosso, Chairman and President of TotalAxcess.com (TXCI). "The agreement will therefore enable us to generate stronger profit margins while also strengthening our competitive positioning by passing substantial savings on to our customers."

The companies explained that the letter of intent covers three operating areas.

1. Traditional Telecom: TXCI will receive from FTNL extremely

competitive calling rates for a substantial volume of call

time to Nigeria and Columbia, which TotalAxcess.com will

resell to its customers.

2. VoIP Telecom: The companies will provide VoIP traffic over

direct lines between the US and Nigeria, and also between the

US and Columbia. The VoIP and compression equipment will be

supplied by TXCI in the US (through its switching facility in

Los Angeles) and by FTNL in Nigeria and Columbia.

3. Prepaid Telecom: TXCI agreed to provide FTNL with the telecom

infrastructure, as well as its advanced billing and support

system, for a prepaid phone card offering low-cost calls

between the US and Nigeria, and also between the US and

Columbia.

"We are very pleased with this partnership, and feel that the possibilities to expand the relationship in the future will create a win-win situation for FTNL, TXCI and our customers," added Monterosso.

In order to ensure the best possible results from the alliance, the Company will also provide its consulting expertise to FTNL for evaluation of the required equipment and engineering efforts entailed in the installation of the three independent VoIP sites.
