G. Bruce Broussard Promoted to Chief Financial Officer

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 2000
The York Group Inc. (Nasdaq:YRKG) is pleased to announce the promotion of Bruce Broussard to vice president and chief financial officer of The York Group. Bruce joined The York Group in August of 1999 as vice president and controller. Prior to joining York, Bruce worked for Baker Petrolite (a division of Baker-Hughes) where he spent 18 years in various positions of increasing responsibility in finance and accounting. Bruce will report directly to Thomas Crawford, executive vice president and chief operating officer.
