Relationship With HP
Mimeo.com, the leader in quality, secure business document printing, binding and delivery through the Internet, was today unveiled as a partner in Hewlett-Packard Company's printing e-services strategy. The announcement was made at a media event hosted by HP Chief Executive Officer Carly Fiorina and further expands on the previously announced strategic alliance between the companies.
The Mimeo.com service is already being pre-loaded on selected PCs and notebook PCs from HP. Most recently, Mimeo.com has been featured on the HP Small Business Center site, directly accessible through www.hp.com. Mimeo.com is also being included as part of HP's Managed Print Services offering, which provides printing and imaging outsourcing services for large and enterprise customers.
"The strengthening of our relationship with HP reflects on the tremendous success of our initial alliance," said Jeff Stewart, chief executive officer of Mimeo.com. "Mimeo.com has clearly become the partner of choice for companies that want the world's most accessible, secure and reliable way to have important business documents printed, bound and delivered."
"HP's relationship with Mimeo.com was forged to expand the breadth of printing e-services available to customers," said Carolyn Ticknor, president of HP's Imaging and Printing Systems. "Mimeo.com is providing a convenient and reliable Internet-based printing and document production service at users' desktops - a perfect example of how the two companies are making the Internet work for customers."
The HP-hosted event today in San Francisco unveiled HP's printing e-services strategy, which propels the company's overall e-services strategy into the printing and imaging realm. According to HP, the printing e-services strategy will transform printers into Internet-based services by combining the power of the Internet with imaging and printing developments. Mimeo.com was featured among other new printing and imaging-focused Internet business models as well as revolutionary technologies with which HP is aligning. Other companies featured at the event included Stamps.com, Federal Express, ImageTag, NewspaperDirect and Dazel.
