Software Enables Dell Financial Services Reps to Email Lease

Contracts Easily and Legally; Expands eFax.com's

Reach In Document Marketplace

eFax.com (Nasdaq:EFAX), a leading provider of Internet communication services, announced today that Dell Financial Services L.P. (DFS), the integrated financing and asset recovery provider of the world's leading direct computer systems company, has signed an agreement to use Messenger Plus to deliver documents to its customers. The software allows DFS contract managers to quickly and conveniently email lease contracts, the mission-critical consummation of their business relationships, to customers. The contracts are received as email attachments that can be opened, viewed, and printed easily on any Windows computer.

The agreement is a reflection of eFax.com's growing efforts to broaden the distribution of its Messenger line of communication software and thus increase its reach as a generator of service and advertising revenues.

"Messenger Plus is an ideal tool for closing business with our customers," said Chris Couture, CIO of Dell Financial Services. "Our contract managers can easily email contracts using their existing programs; our customers can view and print them without any compatibility or download hassles; and the whole process retains the integrity of our documents."

Messenger Plus is a free software program that adds a completely new dimension to document delivery over the Internet. It allows users to easily send documents -- via fax or email -- directly from their favorite programs, including web browsers, word processors, spreadsheets, and presentation managers. The resulting eFax documents retain all of their graphics, fonts, and formatting, but can be viewed and printed by the recipient using only the Messenger (the compact view-only version of software) without need for the original program.

The sender's existing email software is used for delivery, making setup and use of Messenger Plus nearly transparent. Faxes are automatically routed to an eFax Service Center for processing and transmission. Emails are sent directly to the recipient and can be opened with the Messenger, which can be included within the email attachment or downloaded from the eFax web site in Macintosh or Windows versions. Use of Messenger Plus for sending attachments via email and receiving fax-to-email documents is free. Users who want to send a document to a traditional fax machine will need to sign up for eFax Plus, a fee-based service.

"Messenger Plus is a perfect fit for Dell Financial Services' document communication needs," notes Ron Brown, president of eFax.com. "It is an incredibly simple, yet powerful way for them to deliver documents and be sure that they can be instantly accessed by the person on the other end. Plus, it provides innovative, value-added features such as voice and text annotations, personal signatures, highlighting, and hyperlinks."

Messenger Plus offers tools and solutions that simplify the exchange of business documents, whether they start as a digital or paper original. Brown added, "we see eFax.com increasingly as a digital content courier, providing universal document delivery to any user, no matter what the content type, medium of distribution, or output. We'll continue to offer new products and services to our user base as a way to build use of our eFax Plus service. The premium ad space available on the Messenger Plus viewer has created additional advertising opportunities for us, and with our Live Update technology our users continually have the latest eFax applications on their desktop."
