RYE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 24, 2000
Mobius Management Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOBI), and Click-n-Done.com, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mobius and a provider of software for e-bill and e-statement applications, today announced that USA Group, the nation's largest guarantor and administrator of education loans, will offer an online bill payment service to its borrowers using Click-n-Done(TM) electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) software. Beginning this summer, 934,000 borrowers whose loans are in repayment and are serviced by USA Group will be able to receive their monthly loan statements via the Internet and make loan payments electronically.
Borrowers who sign up for this service will be notified by e-mail when their education loan payments are due each month. They will be able to review their loan statements on the Internet and specify the date on which a bill is to be paid. On the selected date, funds will be transferred from the borrower's bank account to USA Group. Click-n-Done will offer borrowers three options for online bill payment:
- they can visit USA Group's Web site to review and pay their
bills;
- those who pay multiple bills via the Internet can select a
bill consolidator and pay bills centrally at that site; or
- they can download the free Click-n-Done consumer
consolidation software and manage their billing and payment
data on the desktop.
"Today's students expect efficient computer-oriented services," said June M. McCormack, USA Group executive vice president. "We want to help students manage their education loan debt and offer them a tool to consolidate all their monthly payments into one easy, fast, online bill payment option."
"We are really excited to be working with USA Group on this state-of-the-art project," said Sandra Becker, Mobius senior vice president of marketing. "We believe this will be one of the most significant e-billing initiatives implemented to date. USA Group's audience is the 'Internet generation' -- Web-savvy students who have grown up with the technology. We believe that USA Group can achieve high rates of adoption with this system and reap the benefits in marketing opportunities, consumer satisfaction and cost savings."
Click-n-Done, developed by Mobius subsidiary Click-n-Done.com, LLC, provides a flexible, comprehensive multi-tier solution for electronic bill presentment and payment, supporting the most popular EBPP models, including biller direct, central consolidation, and consumer consolidation. The patent-pending Click-n-Done consumer consolidation component manages and stores billing and payment data on the desktop, providing privacy and eliminating paper-based filing systems. Click-n-Done is integrated with Mobius ViewDirect technology, which provides the bill repository component of e-billing systems.
