e-Business Offering to Asian Market Deal Creates Asia's First
Hosted Customer-centric E-business Service
Onyx Software Corporation (Nasdaq:ONXS) a leading provider of enterprise-wide, customer-centric e-business solutions, and Singapore Technologies Telemedia, Singapore's largest info-communications service provider, today launched Asia's first hosted CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and e-business service.
The announcement, made at a joint press conference in Singapore Tuesday by the presidents of STT and Onyx Software, makes CRM-on-Demand available to companies across Asia, enabling businesses of all sizes to rapidly take advantage of an Internet-based relationship management system.
Stt.com and Onyx will immediately begin marketing and selling CRM-on-Demand to STT's thousands of small, medium and large business customers in Singapore as well as other companies throughout Asia who are eager to take advantage of the Internet and the opportunity it provides to acquire and retain valuable customers. Initially available in Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand, CRM-on-Demand will also be extended to Malaysia, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Brunei by the end of this year.
According to Lee Theng Kiat, president of Singapore Technologies Telemedia, the new customer-centric service will give companies the power to compete more effectively in the new economy. "The Internet is changing the way Asian companies do business and stt.com and Onyx are giving them the tools they need to win," he said. "We are bringing to market a full suite of Onyx-based Internet relationship management capabilities and hosting it for customers to ensure that they're up and running quickly without the effort of supporting the applications themselves. This is unique in Asia and represents a major advantage for our clients and for STT."
"Stt.com is delivering an innovative and powerful hosted service built on Onyx's customer-centric e-business platform," said Brent Frei, Onyx Software president and CEO. "For companies across Asia, it brings the ability to combine traditional and electronic customer management processes on a single hosted platform managed and supported 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. With this joint offering, STT gains a high value-added business service to extend to its current and future customer base and Onyx gains a widespread distribution network across Asia."
CRM-on-Demand will be provided by stt.com through its regional network of WEBCentres(TM) and will include hardware, software and other IT resources. Stt.com and Onyx will also partner and collaborate with other system integrators, application service providers (ASP) and consulting firms within the Asian region to extend this offering to their customers as well.
