Meg Whitman, Mayo Shattuck and Robert Fisher Join Rosewood Venture Group's Advisory Board

Rosewood Venture Group announces the appointment of Meg Whitman, CEO of eBay, Mayo Shattuck, co-chairman of Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown and Robert Fisher, former president of the Gap, to the firm's board of advisors.

Since 1998, Meg Whitman has been at the helm of eBay, as the company has become the world's leading on-line person-to-person trading community. Mayo Shattuck has presided over Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown since 1987 and is credited with building the firm's Internet practice. In addition to being president of the Gap's U.S. operations, Bob Fisher led the Gap's initial development of their Internet business.

Rosewood Venture Group also announced earlier this month that Robert Keller and Anne Martin had joined as general partners. Keller, formerly a managing director and head of the Internet investment banking practice at Chase H&Q, and Martin, who had been a managing director and head of the Internet investment banking group at Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown, will oversee Rosewood's investments in the media, services and infrastructure sectors of the Internet. Over the past five years, Keller and Martin managed financing for leading Internet companies such as CNET, Amazon.com, @Home, eBay, Exodus, Vignette and CBS MarketWatch.
