DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 2000

In an industry first, marketing automation leader NuEdge Systems has established an executive-level position for ensuring customer satisfaction. The company, formed by the recent merger of RTMS and Customer Insight Company, has promoted Ted Uczen to chief customer officer (CCO).

Uczen, most recently general manager for business-to-business at RTMS, will act as a liaison between customers and NuEdge Systems' development, sales and account management teams. His primary role will be as the customer advocate, ensuring that their inputs and ideas continue to shape NuEdge Systems' product development and service offerings.

He and his team will work closely with more than 200 companies, including Ames Department Stores, Am South Bank, Bridgestone/Firestone, Compaq, Sears Canada and Whirlpool, who leverage NuEdge Systems' software and services to gain competitive advantage through customer-centric marketing. The team will provide a direct line of communication and accountability to ensure NuEdge Systems' responsiveness and flexibility in meeting the needs of all customers.

"I'll be the voice of the customer within our company," said Uczen. "As CCO, my role will be to ensure that we understand customers' challenges and that we design and deliver a total solution that helps them meet those challenges - now and five years from now."

He will report directly to Timothy J. Keane, CEO, and will be based in Denver.

"In an industry that defines itself as a driver of customer satisfaction, we're the first to establish a single point of contact at the executive level for our customers," said Keane. "Ted's extensive customer experience will ensure that we continue to practice what we preach: put the customer first and you will succeed."

Uczen brings more than ten years of experience in leveraging marketing to build brand and increase market share for retail, financial and manufacturing companies. He joined RTMS in 1994 and since then has focused on working directly with customers in a variety of industries to develop, design and implement solutions and strategies that strengthen customer relationships and improve the ROI of marketing efforts. Uczen began his career at Draft Worldwide, a full service direct marketing firm.
