Company Shatters 5 Million Daily Ad Impression Barrier
iEntertainment Network (Nasdaq: IENT), a leading provider and operator of worldwide Internet entertainment communities, reported today that company advertising impressions for Q1 2000 increased to 335 million, a 148% increase over the 135 million delivered during Q4 1999.
The company also announced that it had experienced its first day of 5 million advertising impressions.
The company credited the increases to explosive growth at its flagship Internet properties, as well as a series of new strategic alliances. In recent months, iEN began providing entertainment content to EarthLink's (Nasdaq: ELNK) merged MindSpring customers and introduced its Mac-Player.com site, which is promoted from Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) website, as well as from InsideMacGames.com. In addition, the company has launched more than a dozen new revenue generating games.
"Our Internet properties are rapidly expanding and we are aggressively signing new partnerships to drive customer traffic to our sites," said Jim Hettinger, iEntertainment Network Chief Technology Officer. "In addition, we have been adding high quality content to our entertainment sites resulting in an increased amount of time our customers spend online each month."
The company has experienced sustained Internet advertising growth, escalating from an average of 2 million daily advertising impressions in December to a new iEN record of more than 5 million in a single recent weekend day. "We are continually adding network capacity to manage the steady increase in customer traffic," added Hettinger. "We are thrilled with the fantastic growth we have experienced since the end of last year. We are gratified to receive such a resounding vote of confidence from the Internet gaming community."
