RYE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 5, 2000
Mobius Management Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MOBI) today announced the introduction of e-Search & View, a powerful Web-based tool for searching high-volume indexed archives of enterprise documents, reports and images.
e-Search & View is an efficient, easy-to-use facility that searches the indexes of these archives, enabling searches through massive amounts of content that has been "non-crawlable," that is, inaccessible with currently available Web search techniques.
e-Search & View is the Web-based search engine of the Mobius ViewDirect(R) technology suite. ViewDirect software integrates documents, reports and images of different formats, presenting and distributing them to employees, customers and partners over the Internet and via corporate portals. e-Search & View utilizes the high-performance indexing of the ViewDirect document server to quickly locate all documents that meet the user's search criteria.
"Our goal was to deliver a Web-based search engine that would enable our customers to quickly and easily search through huge volumes of documents that, until now, have not been Web-searchable," said John Murphy, vice president of product marketing at Mobius. "We expect e-Search & View to be widely popular because it serves the needs of internal users as well as customers, suppliers and business partners who will have quick and easy 'self-service' access to information about their transactions and accounts."
e-Search & View provides users with a familiar and easy-to-use search facility. It supports simple search requests using a single condition and advanced search requests with multiple conditions. Searches are directed to a document server, where topic indexes are searched for matches and only the results returned to the browser client. Users will find searching with e-Search & View intuitive and easy, with no training required.
e-Search & View will be available at the end of April.
