SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 1, 2000
Vyou.com(tm) Inc., a developer of software and services that allow Web publishers to promote and protect the use of their intellectual property on the Web, and Siemens' Industrial Division of Plant Engineering and Technical Services (ATD), recently announced a sales and applications partnership. The agreement gives Siemens ATD in Germany the right to distribute and sell Vyou.com's Web content protection software, Vyoufirst(tm), and feature it as a complementary component of Siemens' industrial IT applications. Extending Siemens' relationship with Vyou.com beyond developer-to-reseller, Siemens will develop a "Center of Expertise" where consulting and implementation services for enhancement and protection of intellectual property will be available for German customers.
"A number of industrial companies invest a great deal of money to protect their Intranet and Internet applications, but they find it difficult to safeguard the digital information on their Web servers and portals," said Ralf Sonnefeld, head of E-business Services & Solutions at Siemens ATD IT PS. "That's exactly Vyou.com's starting point with Vyoufirst. The technology is an ideal complement to the application portfolio of sector-oriented e-business tools for Siemens' industrial clients."
Vyoufirst protects intellectual property on a Web site by allowing content publishers to determine whether Web objects can be copied and saved, printed or simply viewed onscreen. By allowing publishers to determine what users can do with their content, Vyoufirst creates new e-commerce models, increases site traffic to Web pages and improves the quality of Web content that can be published.
"We are thrilled that Siemens has joined as our business partner in the German market," said Patrick Regester, Vice President International of Vyou.com. "We expect their 'Center of Expertise' will deliver integrated Vyoufirst solutions to thousands of German customers. Additionally, by leveraging Siemens' expertise in the European IT industry, Vyou.com will be able to generate mindshare for the Vyoufirst solution worldwide."

About Vyoufirst
Vyoufirst removes barriers for publishers, users and e-businesses in the following ways:
-- Promotes higher quality content on the Web: Gives publishers
full control of their intellectual property and provides a way
to prevent people from copying or downloading it.

before they buy." Before a purchase decision is made, entire
articles, documents or full resolution images without
watermarks or stamps can be displayed to the viewer.
-- Builds site traffic: Enables publishers to publish content
that can only be seen at their site, thereby increasing
traffic and the competitive value of their content
