BILLERICA, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 1, 2000
Summer humidity giving you a frizzy tizzy? Blustery winds making you hunt for the hair spray? For a quick heads-up, the Intellicast.com Web site (Weather for Active Lives, www.intellicast.com) now features a "Bad Hair Day" forecast. It points out potential effects of rainfall, wind and humidity on hair each day based on predicted weather conditions across the country.
Warm and humid weather can frizz and mat hair. Rain and wind can wreak hair havoc. So when the air is comfortable and dry, winds light and no rain, the "Bad Hair Day" map shows shades of green ("good"). When the air is very warm and humid, the wind is strong or heavy rain is forecast, the map is shaded in yellows and reds ("bad").
"Our newest feature, the Bad Hair Day forecast, is the latest convenient tool for being weather smart with a few mouse clicks," said Joe D'Aleo, chief meteorologist for Intellicast.com. "Whether you be planning a vacation, picnic or night out on the town, Intellicast.com is the most complete source for weather on the Web for people with active lives."
