HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 2000
OneOffshore Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan C. Isherwood as president and chief operating officer.
Before joining OneOffshore, Isherwood served as vice president of Business Development for British-Borneo Oil and Gas. In that position, he was responsible for managing the company's U.S. business development and land activities, commodities marketing, pipeline investments, and strategic planning. He also oversaw the company's operations in the shallow waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
"Ryan brings exceptional leadership capabilities and a broad range of offshore oil and gas industry experience to OneOffshore," said Jonathan Farber, chairman of OneOffshore, in making the announcement. "We are excited to have him aboard."
Previously, Isherwood was with Unocal, where his career spanned the refining, retail marketing, and oil and gas industries. He ultimately served as vice president of New Ventures for Spirit Energy 76, Unocal's domestic exploration and production business unit. In that position, he was responsible for domestic mergers and acquisitions (M & A), asset restructuring, and land. He also served on the Spirit Energy senior executive team that significantly reduced finding and development costs, replaced reserves for the first time in more than a decade, reversed a dramatic production decline, and established the leading independent deepwater position in the Gulf of Mexico.
Isherwood received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington and a master of business administration degree from the University of California -- Berkeley.
