Warehouse Management Solution Offered Through

OEM Agreement with Data Technology

Software Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of software and services for the distribution market, announced today it will offer a web-based warehouse management solution through an OEM agreement with Data Technology Software Integration Ltd., a Toronto, Canada-based provider of warehouse management systems for wholesale distributors.

As part of the agreement, Software Solutions will resell RADIO BEACON, Data Technology's Internet-based warehouse management system, under its own private label. The product will be called e-wms and is the latest product of Software Solutions' previously announced suite of e-distribution(TM) business-to-business electronic commerce solutions.

"e-wms helps distributors streamline their warehouses and increase collaboration with clients and vendors, all of which are key requirements for timely and reliable e-fulfillment," said Jess Solomon, president of Software Solutions. "This warehouse management solution is designed to fully meet the supply chain and material handling needs of distributors so they can improve productivity, customer service and shipping accuracy throughout their operations."

e-wms will integrate with Software Solutions' FACTS, TakeStock and DMAS distribution management application suites. e-wms provides the reliability and versatility that a complex distribution operation requires, while providing the accuracy and efficiency that a small streamlined distributor needs. e-wms enhances customer service by providing distributors with Internet access to real-time data on their warehouse. It optimizes all of a distributor's warehouse resources, such as labor, storage, space and inventory, and at the same time, monitors location, rotation and distribution of goods by automating the materials handling process and providing productivity tools.

Distributors can use a variety of sophisticated picking strategies and storage alternatives in their operation since the system is fully integrated with any combination of pick systems, tilt trays, sorters, scanners, conveyors and radio frequency devices. e-wms includes an integrated multi-carrier compliance shipping system, barcode data collection, support for EDI-based advance shipment notifications (ASNs), and features online tracking of order status and quantities on hand, leading to faster and more reliable order fulfillment.

"This agreement with Software Solutions is an important step towards realizing our goal of expanding distribution without creating channel conflict with existing Logistics and Bar Code Resellers" says Dale Jeffries, president of Data Technology. "For Software Solutions' customers in manufacturing and wholesale distribution, the agreement means that they only have one service or support call to make."
