"Santa Barbara Software has developed the state of the art PC client for multimedia applications, and the addition of ATVEF is central to our shared vision of building a universal open platform for interactive TV applications," said Cliff Jenks, CEO of Wavexpress. "ATVEF-enabled personal computers will allow consumers to experience a new level of interactivity and quality from broadcast programming, and the incorporation of this technology into the client application is a critical milestone on the path to success."
Santa Barbara Software will demonstrate the reception and display of an ATVEF-enhanced TV stream as an integral component of the Wavexpress datacasting client application. "We will further demonstrate the capability to transmit, capture, cache, display, and purchase digitally transmitted content inherent in the Wavexpress model." stated Nick Neuburger, president of Santa Barbara Software. "We are pleased to broaden our excellent relationship with Wavexpress at the IDF conference as we continue to integrate our ATVEF-enhanced software for display within their DTV broadcast model."
