SAN FRANCISCO & BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 30, 2000
Onyx Software Corp. (Nasdaq: ONXS), a global supplier of enterprise-wide, customer-centric e-business solutions, and Allegis Corp., a leading provider of collaborative demand chain software and services, today announced a strategic sales and marketing partnership, which will allow both companies to jointly market each other's products to customers that require deep functionality in managing two-way communication with partners.
"Companies need to think of their partners as customers - providing them with superior service, two-way communication and a channel to leverage vendor expertise. Doing so will result in more revenue opportunities and better communication, so businesses attract and retain more loyal, profitable and effective partners while gaining access to a real-time view of the health of their business outside their four walls," said Eben Frankenberg, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Onyx Software. "Onyx is a strong believer in the importance of partner relationship management as part of an overall e-business strategy, and our relationship with Allegis broadens the capabilities provided in Onyx Partner Portal so our customers have the benefit of an even more powerful way to manage their partner relationships, both online and offline."
"This agreement ensures our customers can easily integrate to the Onyx e-Business Engine," said Mark Morrissey, vice president of business development for Allegis. "Our PRM offering complements the capabilities available through Onyx Partner Portal, adding functionality specifically focused on managing complex interdependencies encountered when selling through direct, indirect and self-service channels."
Onyx and Allegis share a similar technical architecture using industry standards such as Microsoft DNA, XML, HTTPS and SSL encryption in order to seamlessly operate via the Internet and allow smooth integration with other enterprise solutions. Allegis Sales Partner and Onyx Partner Portal, both aimed at providing partners better access to information for the customers they manage on behalf of the company, are rapidly deployable, scaleable, flexible and reliable. Allegis Sales Partner is offered as a hosted application service and can be easily integrated with Onyx's PRM-focused Partner Portal and its complete e-business offering, which may be deployed locally or in a hosted environment.
