BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 31, 2000
Hilton Hotels Corp. has announced the opening of its newest property, the 101-room Doubletree Guest Suites Naples in southwest Florida, representing another addition to the company's growing roster of all-suite hotels.
The Doubletree Guest Suites Naples is owned and managed by Guest Services Co. of Virginia, under a license agreement with Doubletree Hotel Systems Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corp.
"The Doubletree Guest Suites Naples is an ideal location for an intimate, corporate retreat or a relaxing, family getaway and certainly fits within our company's strategy of providing all-suite hotel solutions in key leisure and business centers," said Dieter Huckestein, president-hotel division of Hilton Hotels.
"This hotel is truly the perfect complement to Hilton's growing family of brands, which currently includes more than 70 hotels and resorts throughout the state of Florida."
Nestled on nearly four acres of peninsula overlooking the Cocohatchee River and Wildlife Preserve, the newly built, three-story Doubletree Guest Suites Naples has been inspired by the Mediterranean architecture commonly found along the beaches of Italy. The hotel offers two meeting rooms with nearly 2,000 square feet of meeting space and a capacity of up to 150; a 24-hour, self-service business center; a restaurant and lounge; a gift shop; and room service.
Spacious guest suite accommodations and features include all of the comforts of home, including a separate living room area, with pull-out sofas in select suites; a hairdryer; a refreshment center with refrigerator; a coffee maker; an iron and ironing board. In-room entertainment and information services, including on-demand movies, cable television and interactive guest services, are also provided by On Command Corp.
Business-oriented features of the guest rooms include a work desk; a telephone equipped with two lines; data ports and voicemail; high-speed Internet access in select rooms; and USA Today(R) newspaper delivery on weekdays.
Recreational facilities include a heated, outdoor swimming pool; a whirlpool; and a fitness room. Golf, tennis, waterskiing and sailing facilities are located nearby.
For dining options, the Doubletree Guest Suites Naples offers Portofino, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in a casual atmosphere. The Aqua Grill offers Naples residents and hotel guests an exciting, upscale restaurant experience. The restaurant's creator, Michael Hernandez, also created and opened Michaels, Bistro 821 of Naples and Ft. Myers and Zoe's of Fifth Avenue in Naples.
"The key to a comfortable stay at the Doubletree Guest Suites Naples, that sets us apart from our competition, is an exceptional group of hotel team members that have a can-do attitude and will provide the warm and caring service to guests that is distinctively Doubletree," said Lora Lee Cyr, general manager of the hotel.
"Both business and leisure travelers will enjoy an intimate, relaxing location that is just minutes away from the white sand beaches of the Florida gulf coast and all leisure and business centers in southwest Florida. We look forward to being an integral part of the Naples community."
