A multi-instrumentalist dynamo, Joe Craven has performed and recorded with Jerry Garcia many times through the years. He is an incredible percussionist and has recorded with numerous top artists, notably extending the shared boundaries of jazz and bluegrass with Darol Anger and Mike Marshall's "Psychograss" quartet. For the past decade, Craven has been on the move constantly, touring and recording with David Grisman. He plays hand and mouth percussion on Wake The Dead.
