--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 8, 2000
TOPIC: While the Internet has become increasingly easy for users to navigate their searches, disabled consumers still have difficulty, said a report by CNN.com. Because 1 in 5 Americans allegedly is disabled, there should be devices such as a screen reader for blind people, to help disabled customers use the Web. Reportedly, all Web sites must be in accordance with the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act to ensure the best and most fair service for the disabled. According to many disabled Web users, the Web has reportedly circumvented these standards and kept their sites difficult for disabled users to navigate.
