MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 12, 2000
Full suite of products developed for the office environment
Rimage Corporation (Nasdaq:RIMG) has today announced a line of CD publishing systems tailored to the office environment. Called the Desktop Family, this series includes a variety of CD publishing systems and software geared toward small and mid-sized office environments.
Offering economical price points, user-friendly software, customizable software tools, small footprint designs, network compatibility, and stand-alone plug-and-play units, the Desktop Family product line has publishing systems for a diverse range of office settings. For low-volume users, the line offers economical single-drive recorder units. On the top end, complete four-drive publishing systems with full network compatibility are available for high-volume users.
Rimage's proprietary OfficeNet software suite is available with the line's Network Publisher systems. This software brings affordable CD production and network convenience to small businesses, allowing users from multiple interoffice departments to create customized CDs from a centralized publishing station. In addition to the OfficeNet software, there is a line of software development tools to enable integration with customized office networks.
"Our software developers have made significant strides in evaluating the needs of the office environment and have delivered a comprehensive software suite with simple user interfaces," said Jay Carter, VP engineering.
Leveraging Rimage's leadership role in the CD/DVD publishing industry, the Desktop Family is a complementary fit to the company's existing product line.
"Our strategy in developing products for the office market is in keeping with our companies' overall strategy of developing products for specific market applications," said Ken Klinck, vice president sales and marketing.
The Desktop Family blends Rimage's commitment to innovation and new product development with the proven performance of products formerly sold under the Cedar Technologies brand.
